You will have realised by now that i love subscription boxes. I have an unhealthy amount of them stacked in my flat, and am subscribed to more than i can probably afford, but i cannot help it. The thrill of receiving a box full of treats is like Christmas every month!
Look Fantastic is a box i currently have a 12 month subscription to. They have different pricing structures depending on how long you subscribe for, but i pay £13 a month for it, and the items are always worth way more than that! There is also a different theme every month, which i love, as it makes the box feel more put together, rather than lots of random items thrown together.
So lets get into it!
The first item i took out was the Filorga UV Bronze After Sun. This smells gorgeous! It is a gel formula that turns to oil when applied to your skin, and it has a lovely light and refreshing feel to it. It calms your skin after sun exposure thanks to the inclusion of Argan, Apricot, Almond and Avocado oils Hyaluronic Acid and an amino acid complex too. Filorga are not Cruelty Free, so i won't be using this, so i rehomed it, as i also don't like waste.
The second item in the box was First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser. This has a pH balanced formula that is filled with many different antioxidants, making this suitable for sensitive skin too. It helps to tackle impurities and imperfections, leaving your skin feeling fresh and even looking.
The third item is the Doucce Freematic Highlighter Mono in Sparked Ray. I have received some eye-shadows by this brand before in a past Look Fantastic box, so i know that they have some nice formulas and colours. I love highlighter, so i am excited about this, as the shade looks like a great match for my skin tone. This helps to enlighten your complexion and feels velvety smooth on application, and it blends really well too, perfect for contouring!
The fourth item in the box was Lancer Omega Hydrating Oil. I love skincare, especially luxurious items like serums and oils, so this is right up my street! It is lightweight and balancing for the skin, whilst delivering a much needed shot of polyphenols, antioxidants and hydration. It contains a blend of fermented oils such as Argan, Olive, Shiunko and Licorice, known to help nourish skin and lock in moisture, softening fine lines and giving the skin that dewy glow that we all want!
The next item was one i knew about, as it had been the spoiler on the back of the product information booklet that comes with each box. It is the Kerastase Reflection Bain Chromatique Shampoo. I have not yet tried this, as i have an abundance of hair products, but it is said to leave your hair shiny and lustrous, containing Vitamin E and UV filters to protect your hair from the sun and anti oxidant aggressors found in the air. It also helps coloured hair, preventing fade thanks to the inclusion of Linseed oil, known for its ability to lock in colour intensity. Unfortunately, this brand is not cruelty free so i won't be using this.
The final item in the box was SVR Laboratories Sebiaclear Gel Moussant Cleanser. I have never heard of this brand, so a new discovery for me! This cleanser is soap free and helps to unclog and purify your pores. It is a creamy foam formula that is gentle on skin, helping to eliminate toxins and excess sebum, which leaves the skin fresh, clear and matte. It also does not dry out the skin, which is good for those who tend to suffer with flaky skin! I cannot find any information about their cruelty free status, so more research is needed before i use this, if i do.
This is not their best box, i have to be honest. I feel that the inclusion of 2 cleansers was a little much, i would have preferred a little more variety. I also don't really like when a box contains shampoo and not the matching conditioner, or vice versa, as i like to use them both together. This of course is just personal preference, and for the price of the box, the value is still there. It is worth mentioning that every box also comes with complimentary copy of Elle Magazine and the box designs themselves are always beautiful too!
So, not my favourite box by them, but i am not unhappy either. Next months theme is Feel, Be, Look Fantastic, which is based around products that make you look and feel amazing, boosting self confidence. As a mental health campaigner, i fully support this theme idea and cannot wait to see what the box includes!
Until next time!
