The Natural Beauty Box January 2024 review- The Calm Collection.

Yes, it's that time again! Every time The Natural Beauty Box lands on my doorstep, it feels like Christmas! For those of you who are unfamiliar (where have you been?!), the Natural Beauty Box are a monthly subscription service featuring only natural, cruelty free products that are often also vegan and organic. I have been getting this box for 5 years now and in that time, I have not once been disappointed.

As is the standard now, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel, which you can catch here:

The theme for January was 'The Calm Collection' and I managed to avoid any spoilers, so I was in for a real surprise!

First up was an old favourite brand of mine, Ezape Naturals Lavender Body Butter (RRP £14). This luxurious natural body butter melts into your skin leaving it feeling soft, nourished and moisturised. It's a real skincare essential after bathing. Lavender contains anti-inflammatory properties which helps to soothe itchy and inflamed skin and the scent helps to calm the mind and relax the body.

I love this brand and have used many of their products in the past. Their body butters are just stunning, and even though Lavender is far from my favourite scent, it is very delicate and subtle meaning that it helps you relax and unwind.

Next up is another brand I have tried before, Pure Mess Lavender and Palma Rosa Shower Gel (RRP £9). Soothe, purify and protect your skin with this comforting shower gel. With lipid rich unrefined Rosehip Oil, ensuring deep hydration and calmness for your skin. The gentle, light lather cleanses and softens leaving your skin feeling soothed and nourished. Shower gel is one of those every day essentials that we all need, so it is always great to have a good stockpile. This smells lovely and is the perfect size for travelling, which may come in handy for me soon- more to be revealed in time!

A new brand for me now in the form of Arran Naturals Calm Soap Bar (RRP £11). Gently cleanse your skin with this Lavender and Chamomile soap bar, which produces a rich and moisturising lather that has been formulated to melt any worries and calm your mind. Soap bars are another essential item and I do have quite the stockpile at home- but hey, what's one more? This has a delicate scent and the lather really is rich without being drying- it's a winner!

Another new brand for me and this time it is Marigold Charms Solid White Jasmine Moisturiser (RRP £5). Luxurious solid lotion moisturiser bars are handmade with organic ingredients in small batches. They soften around body temperature so simply warm the bar between your hands and apply to the skin. I love the concept of this, as we have shampoo, conditioner and deodorant bars so why not moisturiser bars too? I think I have only ever tried one other solid moisturiser so this is definitely a niche idea. This has such a delicate scent and again, is perfect for travel! I also love how it is packaged too.

Finally, we have the Ancient Wisdom Volcanic Foot Stone (RRP £5). Naturally made Volcanic stone to gently exfoliate and buff away dead skin. This can also be used on the body and hands as well as the feet. We are approaching spring (finally!) which means that we may start baring out feet again- you can make sure they are spring/summer ready with this item. It is the perfect size to grip and has a handle on it to help with storage when not in use.

So another amazing mix of products! The total value of the items this month is a staggering £44! Such an incredible saving!

There are a few different ways you can purchase or subscribe to this box:

  • Monthly rolling subscription- £24.95

  • 3 month prepay- £71.10

  • 6 month prepay- £138.00

  • One off box- £25.95

  • Bimonthly- £24.95 every 2 months

  • Plastic free quarterly- £24.95 every quarter

They also do 'Lucky Dip' boxes on their website which contain 3 products from past boxes so you can get a taster for the service- this is priced at £12.95. For a limited time (at least, initially!), there are also Pick n Mix boxes available where you can choose either 3 items for £15 or 4 items for £20 from a selection menu. All of the above options include delivery.

I have said this so many times but I will say it again- this box is my absolute favourite and it never lets me down. It is not often that you can subscribe to a box for 5 years and not have a single 'dud' box or a repeat item but Emma, who is the woman behind this box, always manages to blow me away every month with new brand discoveries and some new products from old faithful brands I already know and love. I'm already excited for next months offering! Emma is also a lovely lady who puts so much heart and soul into every box- you can really feel the passion when you unbox it and it is testament to her passion that she absolutely smashes it every month! This box certainly deserves all the success and I cannot wait to see what delights await me in the February edit- hopefully some treats for the month of love- and my birthday!
