Another beauty box review for you today, and an exciting announcement too!
I reviewed The Natural Beauty Box last month, and it is safe to say that it is easily my favourite box that i regularly subscribe to! It costs just £24.95 per month (there are options for 3 and 6 and Bi monthly subscriptions too), and the products are always worth way more than the price you pay, as well as being vegan, cruelty free, natural and organic (Usually).
So, without further ado, lets get into the contents! The theme this month is to tie in with Plastic Free July, so there is minimum packaging, and everything is good for the environment. Guilt free beauty- the best kind!
The first item i pulled out was one i knew about, as i had seen it announced on their Instagram page (@nat_beauty_box). It is the SKNFED Organic Chocolate Bar Face Soap (RRP £9.99). This actually looks like a bar of chocolate! I am amazed at it, the packaging is super cute and it smells divine. It is Cocoa and Vanilla scented and it is a gentle exfoliant, containing lots of antioxidants, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients. You break a bit off, like you would a chocolate bar, create a lather and use it on your face (or body!). Usually i find soaps quite drying, so i don't tend to use them on my face, but this is absolutely gorgeous! I am converted!
The second product i saw was the Zao Makeup Eyeshadow in the shade 'Golden Sands' (RRP £16). I wore this yesterday and received loads of compliments, it is a gorgeous shimmery golden brown shade, perfect for the summer months and it goes with anything too! It comes in the most beautiful bamboo pot, which can be refilled, and the pot itself is protected inside a cute little drawstring bag. This is one of my first ventures into natural makeup and i am very impressed!
The third item links in with the previous one, as it was an Eyeshadow Brush by Flawless (RRP 6.99). I used this to apply the above eyeshadow and i am not kidding when i say this is the softest brush i have ever used! It helps to apply and blend eyeshadow beautifully (even for a novice like myself!), has a sustainably source handle made from bamboo and the synthetic fibres of the brush are approved by PETA! A great little addition to my ever growing collection of brushes!
I let out a squeal when i saw the spoiler for the fourth item on Instagram, and i let out the same squeal when i finally got my hands on it! It is the Nini Organics Natura Miracle Mask (RRP £18). I am not exaggerating when i say i am ADDICTED to face masks (blog post on this coming soon!) and so i am always happy to discover new and exciting brands that i have not heard of or tried before. This has a powder consistency, you mix it with water in your hand to make a paste and apply it to the skin, it is said to be a pollution solution! It is infused with cacao, coconut powder, pink clap, hibiscus and other powerful, antioxidant rich herbs which help to detox, smooth and nourish the skin. I have not yet tried this, however, i know that i won't be able to resist it for much longer!
The fifth item is the Big Green Tree Trading Intensive Hand Balm (RRP £5). This came in the cutest little tin and smells amazing. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it actually smells like at first, but now i can smell citrus, as well as lavender and tea tree, which we all know are great for our skin! This helps to alleviate dry and chapped skin, helping to maintain smooth and supple hands with regular use. As only a pea size amount is needed, this will last me ages! I am keeping it by my bed and in my handbag for application anywhere i go!
The sixth item (yes, and still one more to go, such is the value of this box!) was The Friendly Soap Company Peppermint and Poppy Seed Soap (RRP £2.11). I could smell this as soon as i opened the box, and i am so impressed by the size of it for the price too! It smells very delicate, not at all overpowering and it has no nasties in it (no parabens, sls or other additives). I have used a product from their range before, a shampoo bar, which i love, so i was already familiar with the brand and am very glad to have received another one of their gorgeous products to try! It is so refreshing and invigorating, even just the smell of it is enough to wake me up! The Poppy seeds provide gentle exfoliation and helps you to feel really fresh and clean!
The final item was a free sample of Beauty Kubes Unisex Hair and Body Wash. These smelt very strongly of citrus (which is not a bad thing for me!) and there were 3 little cubes in the box. You crumble it with water to make a lather and then use it to wash your body and/or hair. They make the bold claim that you won't need to use conditioner afterwards if you use it on your hair, so i am very keen to test out that theory!
So that is all of it! The box contents were worth £58, meaning the saving you get is a massive £33.05! I would urge absolutely everyone to buy this box- the value for money is second to none and i have never had a bad box yet. It is rare to find a box where you will use every single product, but this is one of them for me!
