Brand Focus- Rio Rosa Mosqueta

First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to the team at Rio Rosa Mosqueta for sending me this amazing product to try. I am always humbled when brands want to hear what I have to say!

Rio Rosa Mosqueta have been making amazing products for over 30 years, using raw herbs and extracts from South America. Their founder travelled to Brazil and was inspired by all the wonderful herbs that grow abundantly in every corner of the Amazon. South America is a treasure trove of botanicals that people use to support their wellbeing and health. He wanted to bring these herbs to the western world to share their beneficial properties.

They buy fair trade wherever possible, and support the conservation of South America and its communities. All their products are EcoControl certified, which is the strictest standard of testing for natural cosmetics. They also have no colourings, no additives and no nasties, as well as being completely cruelty free.

As you know, I only use natural and cruelty free products, so my ears pricked up when I found this brand on Instagram and I was delighted when they replied to me! They sent me a full size Cream Cleanser to review, worth £8.95. What did I think? Read on to find out!

The product is 100ml in size, which is fantastic value for money. I loved the packaging immediately- clean, crisp and stylish. It came in an external box to protect the tube inside.

This cleanser is totally plant based and vegan, which is gentle on the skin. It cleanses and hydrates the skin, dissolving make up, removing dirt and excess oil. It contains Chilean Rosehip Seed Oil and a combination of specially selected plant extracts including Shea Butter to moisturise, Avocado to nourish and Aloe Vera to hydrate, leaving your skin refreshed and nourished.

I absolutely loved this cleanser, it was so pleasant to use and the scent was very subtle, with no added perfume or colouring. I applied a dollop into my hand and massaged it into my face, before removing it with my muslin cloth. It left my skin so soft, smooth, moisturised and squeaky clean. I used it every morning and was absolutely gutted when it ran out. I will definitely be ordering some more of this, as I genuinely feel that it made a positive difference to my skin, it felt so healthy and glowing.

It has also been known as being able to heal dry patches of skin, due to its ingredients and antioxidants, so you could even use it on rough patches of skin, such as elbows, knees and heels to soften and soothe them.

They have a range of incredible products on their website, which is here and some amazing reviews too! They are definitely a brand that are doing things right!
