Brand Focus: Zenon Kition
I was contacted by this company after they saw some of my Instagram posts. I was super excited, as it was a brand I am unfamiliar with and was very happy to try.
Zenon Kition London are a natural cosmetics company run by a cosmetologist and a herbalist. Their slogan is ‘Live according to nature’ and as I have been on my natural beauty journey for 12 months now, I could not agree more with this slogan.
They have completed extensive courses in natural, organic skin and hair care formulating and have gone on to create high performing, original and inspiring products to be proud of. All the products are laboratory tested and formulated with active ingredients to comply with European law and regulation.
I was really intrigued about the name of the brand and their website gave a great explanation for why they chose that name. Zenon was an ancient Greek thinker born in Kition, which is now Larnaca in Cyprus. He was the founder of the Stoic school of philosophy in Athens. His moral ideas laid great emphasis on the goodness and peace of mind, gained from living a life in accordance with nature. They believe in the same philosophy and try to incorporate it in every aspect of their lives.
I was very intrigued by this and was even more excited when Dori, founder with husband Tas, asked me to choose the items I wanted to review. I chose the Floral Beauty Mist and to my surprise, when the package arrived, they had also sent me their Hemp Seed Oil too!
The Floral Beauty Mist (RRP £8.99) is pure rose water for skin, hair and scalp. It contains 100% pure rose water of the highest quality obtained by rose petals distillation in the heart of the Rose Valley. This is an absolute game changer in the world of multitasking beauty. There are so many benefits to this product, which I will list now:
PH Balancing for skin and hair.
Calming, Nourishing and Soothing.
Anti Inflammatory.
Promotes hair growth.
Clear pores.
Moisturising, rejuvenating and stimulating.
Relieves symptoms of acne and rosacea.
Soothes itchy and flaky scalp.
Aromatherapy has a therapeutic effect on the mind and improves mood.
Helps with stress, anxiety and sleep.
Strengthens hair.
Cleans face and removes make up.
Safe to use during pregnancy.
I absolutely love the packaging of this product, bright and eye catching. It is a glass spray bottle. I am so impressed with this- it helped to cool me down in the hot weather, made my skin feel clean, fresh and calm, as well as leaving behind a beautiful and subtle scent. I used this both as a toner and also as a daily facial spritz to top up throughout the day and I loved the results. I also think this is super reasonably priced too, so a must repurchase once this one is finished.
The second item was totally unexpected, but in a good way. The Hemp Seed Oil (RRP £8.50) is amazing. I love using oils on my skin but this is one I have never tried. Hemp Seed Oil mimics the composition of fats and amino acids of our own natural skin oils and is greatly tolerated by all skin types. It is rich in Omega 3 and 6, Vitamins E and C, Cannabidiol, proteins and antioxidants. It is cold pressed oil, which is light and ‘dry’. The benefits are as follows:
Soothes and Restores inflamed skin.
Heals and Protects the skin from the influences of the atmosphere and sun.
Treats acne prone skin types, eczema, psoriasis, fine lines and wrinkles.
Promotes hair growth.
Keeps scalp in top condition.
Evens skin tone.
Non comedogenic (doesn’t clog pores).
Nourishes hair and beards.
Non greasy and moisturising.
Safe for use during pregnancy.
I love to use oils on my skin, and this one can be used on the hair and beard (for those who have one!) too, so a great multitasking product. I am super impressed with the consistency of this product and the way it makes my skin feel so soft and moisturised. I love how even and radiant my skin looks and the packaging of this is adorable too!
I would definitely recommend this brand, as they are affordable and very high quality. I have absolutely loved trying these out and I am very happy that they contacted me to review for them. I am definitely adding these to my list of favourite brands (i.e, the ones who I put on my Christmas/birthday wishlists every year)!
