Lemonade Box review- August 2020

Yet another new box, and one that I have been eyeing up for a while due to their cruelty free stance and mental health focus- when life gives you lemons, you need Lemonade Box! Priced at £20 per month, it is an absolute steal!

Lemonade box is a self care subscription box that promotes taking time out just for ourselves- something I am sure we could all stand to do a bit more of!

I unboxed this over on my brand new YouTube channel, and you can find the video here:

On opening the box, it was immediately apparent to me that they care about every one of their subscribers- which some of the more well known and bigger companies lack- so that is a testament to the work they put in. They include messages of support and empowerment, as well as a monthly mission- this months's mission was simply to take some time to write! I am taking that challenge right now!

The items in the box are always cruelty free, and I was absolutely blown away by the sheer amount- and the fact that there were some new brands thrown in there too!

The first item was one I had seen a spoiler for on Instagram and I was so excited to get my hands on it, especially as it is a new brand for me! Fayce - 24k Gold Face Mask (RRP £24.95). Wow- what can I say about this? It screams luxury! This is 100% natural and infused with real gold, which stimulates the production of collagen and leaves the skin plumper and radiant. It is suitable for all skin types too. It has high quality ingredients, including Hyaluronic Acid to naturally lift the skin, erase fine lines and smooth wrinkles for an opulent glow! It also comes with an applicator brush so you can ensure you get even coverage. This is also suitable for vegans. I absolutely loved this- I felt like an absolute queen the entire time and my skin glowed afterwards! Definitely going to have to source more of this!

The second item was a brand I have heard of but have never tried- until now that is! Q + A- Squalane Facial Oil (RRP £10.00). This is derived from Olive Oil so it is 100% natural and is designed to intensely moisturise the skin. It is alcohol and fragrance free, suitable for vegans and leaves the skin feeling softer than velvet, or the proverbial babies bum. You can use it as a moisturiser, a treatment or even as a hair serum (which I am definitely going to try!). I love everything about this, from the packaging right down to the results! It is a bargain price for a repurchase too. I am going to try it on my hair next!

The third item is a brand I have never heard of but am eager to try. This Way- Natural Body Sunscreen (RRP £18.40). Sunscreen is essential in keeping our skin healthy and protected- especially in this heat we are currently having in England right now. This is an exotic mint scent sunscreen made with Aloe Vera Gel (one of my favourite skincare ingredients) to moisturise the skin and treat acne as well as eczema and other irritations, Avocado Oil which is rich in magnesium (good for restless legs!), potassium and antioxidants as well as Sweet Almond Oil to improve skins elasticity and appearance. I absolutely love the smell of this and the cool sensation on my skin as I applied it. My skin felt protected and nourished- an absolute winner!

The fourth item is a brand I absolutely love! BAO Skincare- Lip Saviour (RRP £12.00). This soothes, nourishes and repairs lips to give them a silk like feel. It also smells like chocolate, which is irresistible to me. You can slip this in your handbag for on the go application. It is 100% organic and small business run- which I am a huge supporter of. My goodness, this smells good enough to eat- and with it being a lip balm, I can't promise that won't happen! I adore this brand and have a few of their items already- one more to add to the collection then!

The fifth and final item (or should that be items?) is another new brand discovery for me. BAM Beautiful- Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner (RRP £3.99 each). This duo help to gradually create stronger and healthier hair. They intensely moisturise and I am assured that even if you already have thick hair (like me!), they are still great cleansers and nourish the hair deeply. They are rich in protein, starch and fibres to give you hair all the love it needs! These smell absolutely beautiful and are the perfect size to give them both a go. I love how both the shampoo and conditioner were included too, as one of my pet hates with subscription boxes is when they include just a shampoo or conditioner as I like to try them together for a fair test!

I am also really impressed that most of the items included are recyclable too!

An absolutely amazing introduction to Lemonade Box, I am so happy with every item and cannot wait to have a proper pamper session with them all very soon- there is something in there for top to toe! Definitely one to watch as their customer service is incredible too!
