Box of Calm 'Happy Box' Review

I am really excited to be bringing this review to you as I have been following Box of Calm for a while now, but I was recently also accepted as a brand ambassador for them too! This box was very kindly gifted by Lucy and was unboxed on my Youtube channel, you can catch the video here:

Box of Calm provide thoughtfully curated boxes for calm and wellbeing. They include products for mental wellness from small, independent brands. Their mission is to bring self care to you so you can start a wellbeing journey. The items inside will help you find some much needed me time to put yourself first, live more mindfully and slow down. Most of the products featured will be plastic free and their packaging is made from 100% recycled materials and are biodegradable- so good for you and the environment. They also choose to work with small and independent brands across the UK and beyond, helping to spread the word about all the wonderful small businesses out there!

There are a few box options available, which I will go through in more detail shortly, but I was sent the Happy Box, which has been carefully selected to help positively maintain a healthy wellbeing, bring a smile to your face and introduce you to some wonderful small brands! Lets get into it!

There was a little envelope with a sprig of lavender attached and a cute little note inside from Lucy telling me that she hopes I enjoy the box- I love the personal touch! There was also a little booklet containing information about the box and the products inside, including the businesses who created them.

The first item was a little bundle of positive affirmation cards, which I love to display on my fridge/freezer for that little pick me up! These little messages help to fill you with hope, strength and happiness exactly when you need them. An amazing addition!

The next item was Aromatherapy Bath Salts by Timeless Aromas. They are a small family business based in London who hand make luxury items such as bath salts, wax melts and home crafts. All of their products are cruelty free, vegan and infused with fragrance or essential oils. They only use high quality ingredients such as fragrance oils, soy wax, epsom and himalayan salts and essential oils. These bath salts are made with strawberry, rose, lavender, epsom salts, himalayan salts and lavender essential oil to help you cleanse and replenish in a fragrant and mineral infused bath. They leave you feeling cleansed, refreshed and revitalised. The salts are also known for their detoxifying properties and are great for sore muscles too! The lavender essential oils help to relax you, improve mood and help with sleep and anxiety issues. I don't actually have a bath in my flat but I am going to use these as a foot soak- and sneak a bath over at my mum's the next time I am round there!

I was very excited about the next item as I have a very sweet tooth! It is a sachet of Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Flakes by The Cosy Chocolate Company. They are a small business based in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside. They have a passion for making delicious hot chocolate in a range of flavours. They make and grate their own chocolate from raw ingredients to create rich and delicious chocolate flakes from their own bars. I absolutely love salted caramel, so I was really excited to see this in the box! It is getting towards the colder and darker nights here in the UK, so a hot chocolate is the perfect accompaniment for a cosy night in! You simply add 3-5 tablespoons of this to your hot milk or water and you have a delicious drink. And it really is beautiful- such a rich and sweet flavour, which is just how I like it!

Another lovely little product included in the box was Rosey Hand Salve and Lip Balm by Neves Bees. They are Oxfordshire based beekeepers who make 100% natural skincare in their workshop- with a little help from their bees of course! This cute little duo are packaged together and would make a lovely gift if you weren't planning on using them yourself- however, I will be making use of them for sure! The hand cream is super absorbent, non- greasy and subtly scented with Rose Otto and Rose Geranium. The lip balm contains Rose Petals to give thirsty lips a moisturising and soothing treat. It is also rich in vitamins A and E. Both items are made with 100% pure beeswax, natural honey and propolis as well as natural plant oils- nothing synthetic in sight! I absolutely love these- and they are the perfect size to fit in your pocket or your handbag for on the go application too.

A really interesting idea next- and one I welcome with open arms! Happi Cards by The Happi Empire. Their purpose is to translate deep spiritual wisdom into practical daily habits to help you undo negativity in your mind and remember who you are. They were founded by Fran after she left school fed up with academic learning and not sure what to do next. She attended a metaphysics retreat with her mum and this gave her a new perspective shift and an urge to share what she learned. These Happi Cards were created to make true inner happiness more accessible by helping you think about situations from a higher perspective. They are a great excuse to spend some precious time with yourself and recharge your batteries. These cards provide inspiration for any situation- you basically pick a card and let it help you make a decision based on wisdom, reminding us of what we already know and flicking that internal switch of awareness. I love these and use them whenever I need inspiration!

Finally, there was a huge Wildflowers Scented Candle by Silk Candles. They are a small business based in Cheshire. They make candles using nothing but the highest quality ingredients to make sure you get nothing but the best. They are all handmade, hand poured and hand packaged for a truly handmade experience. This honestly smells beautiful- floral scents can be hit and miss with me as I have hayfever so strong scents can be overpowering. This is lovely though, and as it was burning it gradually released an uplifting aroma which revitalised my senses. It is a very modern, fresh and comforting scent and the candle is vegan, cruelty free and phthalate free too. It is absolutely huge, so will last a while and it looks lovely on the shelf while it is not in use.

I am so pleased with all the items inside! This was the Happy Box, which is now known as the Restore Box. It is priced at £29. They also have the Calm Box, priced at £35, the Relax Box, priced at £35 and also a monthly subscription for £35. The positive postcards mentioned above are also available for purchase at £7 and there is a Christmas box coming soon too!

A lot of very exciting things to come for Box of Calm and I hope I am able to bring you lots more content from them- I really believe in their message and their mission to help you take care of your mental health!
