FabFitFun Fall 2023 review

It doesn't seem 2 minutes since the last one but here we are again- FabFitFun Fall 2023! This is a box all the way from sunny California, USA and it has been around for a long time, but hasn't always been available to the UK. FabFitFun are a seasonal (quarterly) beauty and lifestyle subscription box that allows you to customise some of the items in your box, and the rest are picked by their team based on your profile. There are 2 different membership options for FabFitFun, Seasonal and Select.

The way the box works has changed slightly- Seasonal members are now able to make 4 choices for their customisation instead of 3 from a selection menu and Select members are now able to fully customise their box!

The choices are in groups, from 1-5 and in each group, you can make one selection from a choice of around 7 items. You can also select 'Add ons' for your box, which is where you can select extra items for an additional, discounted price!

The price is slightly different for the UK than in the US, as we have to pay for shipping and VAT on top of the price.

The price for Seasonal comes to around £50.00, which includes shipping and VAT, and for an Annual membership, it is around £195.00. It was delivered via Royal Mail.

Depending on when you subscribe depends on the box you get- you either get that seasons box or a Members Picks Box, which is offered between seasons.

As always, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel and you can watch it here:

So, if you watched my unboxing, you will have seen the huge size of the box, and how much was in it, but let's go over that again now! They have also changed their seasonal magazine to a digital version, which you access via a QR code included in your box. A great initiative to save paper!

Onto the box itself then! I will talk through the 4 items that I selected first of all, as these were the only ones in the box that I knew I was going to get- the rest were a total surprise!

My first pick was Living Proof Triple Bond Complex (RRP $45, or £36.11). A weekly no rinse treatment that makes hair eight times stronger, resistant to future damage and adds softness, smoothness and shine. It's clinically proven to rebuild the structure of your hair. Hair products are something I don't receive as often as I would like to in boxes, as I love to take care of my hair. The fact that this weekly means it should last me a while and Living Proof are an amazing brand. I have used this a couple of times and it has definitely helped the smoothness of my hair.

My pick for customisation 2 had sold out when it came to me making my choices so I had to go with another option, although that is not a bad thing! I chose the Citrine Spice Jars (RRP $30 or £24.07). Add a little boho vibe to your fall festivities. These will come in handy whether you are serving up delicious sides or need a little extra kitchen or counter top storage. These are super cute and add a little extra to my kitchen. I love every single home/lifestyle item I have received in this box and these are no different.

My third choice was the Silked Satin Travel Pillow Sleeve (RRP $29.50 or £23.67). Your beauty sleep just got an upgrade. You'll say bye bye bedhead and breakage and hello smooth, silky locks thanks to this must have. Use it at home or bring it along with you to cover your pillows whilst travelling. I have heard of the many benefits of silk pillowcases but have never tried one until now. I am looking forward to seeing the impact this has on my hair, as it is usually an absolute mess in the morning!

My final pick was the Blume Buds (RRP $30 or £24.07). This is a pack of 40. Clinically proven to zap most zits in 6 hours, these patches are a lifesaver when your skin needs a little boost. They're designed to draw out fluid and impurities within a blemish so your skin is calmer and clearer. Hydrocolloid works to create a protective seal over the skin and flattens acne whilst salicylic acid unclogs pores and sheds dead skin cells for a healthier complexion. I am definitely intrigued by these claims, and the fact that there are 40 means they should last for a long time. I don't get spots all that often but it is good to know I have these to hand when I need them!

Let's get on to the items chosen for me by FabFitFun then! The first one was Lujo Bar Eucalyptus Shower Steamers (RRP $22 or £17.65). This is a pack of 4. For your mind, body and spirit, these shower steamers are specially designed to make aromatherapy part of your everyday. They're activated by water and diffuse into the showers steam, opening all your senses with the menthol and essential oil blend. I love shower steamers, I have used a few in the past but this is a new brand for me. Eucalyptus is amazing for clearing your sinuses and as we are heading towards autumn and winter- the season of the cold- I will save these for when I need help to breathe a little easier!

Finally, there was the Obe Waistpack and 1 month free trial (RRP $40 or £32.10). This is such an easy way to carry all your essentials whether you're getting in your steps or running errands. The front zipper, adjustable straps and mesh back make this bag extremely versatile and the beautiful hunter green goes perfectly with any outfit. This is a super convenient item that I am very pleased to have. I will be using this pretty much everywhere to keep my valuables safe and my hands free!

So a quick adding up of the RRP's brings this boxes value to $196.50 (£157.69), which is way more than the price paid!

I am impressed, once again, with the items, the service and the value of this box. It feels like such a treat and I love that you get to pick some of the items as it gives it a more personalised feel! I also love that there is such a mixture of items from beauty, to homeware, to clothing, to accessories and even fitness. I cannot wait for next season already- they have really upped their game and I am excited to see what comes next!
