FabFitFun Summer 2022 Edit Review

It doesn't seem 2 minutes since the last one but here we are again- FabFitFun Summer 2022! This is a box all the way from sunny California, USA and it has been around for a long time, but hasn't always been available to the UK. FabFitFun are a seasonal (quarterly) beauty and lifestyle subscription box that allows you to customise some of the items in your box, and the rest are picked by their team based on your profile. There are 2 different membership options for fabfitfun, Seasonal and Select.

The way the box works has changed slightly- Seasonal members are now able to make 4 choices for their customisation instead of 3 from a selection menu and Select members are now able to fully customise their box!

The choices are in groups, from 1-5 and in each group, you can make one selection from a choice of around 7 items. You can also select 'Add ons' for your box, which is where you can select extra items for an additional, discounted price!

The price is slightly different for the UK than in the US, as we have to pay for shipping and VAT on top of the price, but I have a referral code for $15 off your first box! Use code su7-hk6us at the checkout.

The price for Seasonal comes to around £50.00, which includes shipping and VAT, and for an Annual membership, it is around £195.00. It is delivered via Hermes.

Depending on when you subscribe depends on the box you get- you either get that seasons box or a Members Picks Box, which is offered between seasons.

As always, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel and you can watch it here:

So, if you watched my unboxing, you will have seen the huge size of the box, and how much was in it, but let's go over that again now! They also send out their seasonal magazine, some themed stickers and some other discount leaflets for you to make use of should you wish to.

The last few times, I have also taken advantage of the add ons, which happen a couple of days before the customisation opens. This time was no exception- in fact, I went a little crazy!

The first item I picked was Gaiam Grippy Yoga Gloves (RRP $9.99, I paid $7, which is around £5.68). These grippy yoga gloves have targeted traction to give you a non-slip surface to increase balance and stability. I do a lot of yoga- and exercise in general- and I actually thing these will be great for all types of exercise, especially those bodyweight moves such as mountain climbers and press ups to give that extra bit of stability. I am currently trying to perfect a couple of more complex yoga poses that involve arm balancing so I know these will come in handy.

My next choice was Cuvee Sugar Scalp Scrub (RRP $35! I paid just $4.99 which is around £4.05). This deeply, yet gently cleanses the scalp, lifting away the dead skin and flakiness. It removes sweat, dirt, excess oil and product build up to leave the scalp and hair instantly hydrated. refreshed and balanced. I love to take care of my hair and haven't used a scalp scrub for ages so when I saw this absolute bargain, I knew I had to snap it up! I have used this a couple of times now and my scalp feels revitalised- I absolutely love it!

My final pick was Cuccio Somatology Body Wipes (RRP $14.99, but I paid $4.99, which is around £4.05). These are a cooling post workout cleansing wipe to keep you feeling cool, clean and refreshed after the most intense of workouts and activities. It cleanses, refreshes, sanitises and helps remove bacteria- an absolute gym bag essential! There were 3 packs of wipes included, which I thought was a generous amount and I will be keeping these handy for a quick post workout refresh until I am able to jump in the shower!

They also sent an extra item which I wasn't charged for, the Algenist Alive Prebiotic Balancing Mask, which is worth £38. This is a vegan prebiotic colour-morphing mask that rebalances detoxifies, and hydrates skin, revealing a healthy, alive, and refreshed overall glow. I wasn't expecting this, and it was certainly a nice touch by FabFitFun to include this little extra. I don't think I will use this as my research points to them not being cruelty free but still, a lovely gesture!

Onto the box itself now! I will talk through the 4 items that I selected first of all, as these were the only ones in the box that I knew I was going to get- the rest were a total surprise!

My first pick was one of many items I could have chosen from category 1- there were so many great choices! I am happy with my choice though, as I can see me getting loads of use out of this! Samara Shoulder Bag in Peony (RRP $125! This is around £101.49). Designed to be the perfect everyday bag, this has ample room to carry all your essentials and more. It feels laid back but elevated at the same time. This Medium Shoulder Bag is a smaller version of one of their best-sellers, The Shoulder bag. This bag can be worn as an off-the-shoulder bag or as a crossbody bag. It features an adjustable strap, iconic Samara closure and premium vegan leather with a vegan suede interior. I absolutely love this, and can't wait to start using it!

My next pick was Z Gallerie Multi Use Storage Duo (RRP $45, which is £36.54). Keep things organised with this set of stacking canisters. Black is also a great home decor accent and fits perfectly with statement pieces at home to elevate your whole decor collection. The sleek style and chic mid century modern design adds a touch of glamour to your storage solutions. I am loving all of the stunning homeware pieces featured in this box, and the ones I have managed to get my hands on have really added a little something to my home decor. These are no exception, I absolutely love them. I am not sure yet what I will use them for but for now, they sure look pretty in my kitchen!

I am so excited about this next item as I have been dying to try this brand for so long and I wasn't expecting this to still be available when I made my selections! Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Mascara (RRP $24, which is around £19.49). This adds volume, lift and curl all in one product. This do it all mascara is designed to target every lash with a dual sided brush. Longwear and water resistant- important for me in summer due to hayfever- it will stand up to smudging, sweat and tears. It is also cruelty free. For those of you who aren't aware, Fenty is the beauty range from global superstar Rihanna, and it has so many incredible reviews. I am so happy to finally be able to try it for myself and mascara is the perfect way to do this, as it is an everyday essential for me. Also, how Rihanna is the packaging?!

Another make up item now, although a brand I am very familiar with this time! Illamasqua Gel Sculpt Contour in the shade Outline-there were 3 shades to choose from and I went for the lightest one (RRP $32, which is around $25.98). Create an instantly contoured complexion with this unique contouring gel that offers a subtle definition with minimal effort. The water based formula creates a soft shadow under the cheekbones and along the jawline. It is also cruelty free. I love this brand, all the products of theirs that I have tried so far have been amazing. I was worried about how dark this appears but it is actually really subtle and blends so well- I love the formula!

Now onto the items they chose for me- and they seem to have upped their game as there are no repeat items for me this time around!

Their first pick for me could not have come at a better time! It was the Soar Desk Mat (RRP $29.99, which is around £24.35). Create a clean, dedicated workspace by utilising a desktop mat. This doubles as a mouse with non slip backing. I work from home and have just been provided with an office set up by my employer. This fits onto my desk perfectly and adds a bit of decoration to it too. Whilst I may not necessarily have picked this myself, I am not at all unhappy about it- in fact, I actually really like it!

Their next pick for me was another one I am really happy with! Billion Dollar Brows bundle (RRP $63, which is around £51.15). Condition, colour and control brows with this bundle. The brow boost preps brows, the pencil defines and the clear gel sets them for a face framing look. They are also cruelty free. I am a total novice when it comes to brows- I fill them in but that is about it. I am very much looking forward to improving my skills with this handy bundle!

Finally, there was an extra mystery gift in the box, in the form of Kayo Body Scrubber (RRP $15, which is around £12.18). Scrub away the day! Its soft, hypoallergenic bristles help exfoliate skin with every shower—not to mention that it feels amazing when you use it with body wash. I have something similar from another box but my motto is that you can never have too much of a good thing and this is definitely an item that most people could make use of too!

So a quick adding up of the RRP's brings this boxes value to $333.99 (£271.17), not including my add ons, which is way more than the price paid!

I am impressed, once again, with the items, the service and the value of this box. It feels like such a treat and I love that you get to pick some of the items as it gives it a more personalised feel! I also love that there is such a mixture of items from beauty, to homeware, to clothing, to accessories and even fitness. I cannot wait for next season already- they have really upped their game and I am excited to see what comes next!
