FabFitFun Summer 2023 edit review.

It doesn't seem 2 minutes since the last one but here we are again- FabFitFun Summer 2023! This is a box all the way from sunny California, USA and it has been around for a long time, but hasn't always been available to the UK. FabFitFun are a seasonal (quarterly) beauty and lifestyle subscription box that allows you to customise some of the items in your box, and the rest are picked by their team based on your profile. There are 2 different membership options for FabFitFun, Seasonal and Select.

The way the box works has changed slightly- Seasonal members are now able to make 4 choices for their customisation instead of 3 from a selection menu and Select members are now able to fully customise their box!

The choices are in groups, from 1-5 and in each group, you can make one selection from a choice of around 7 items. You can also select 'Add ons' for your box, which is where you can select extra items for an additional, discounted price!

The price is slightly different for the UK than in the US, as we have to pay for shipping and VAT on top of the price.

The price for Seasonal comes to around £50.00, which includes shipping and VAT, and for an Annual membership, it is around £195.00. It was delivered via Royal Mail.

Depending on when you subscribe depends on the box you get- you either get that seasons box or a Members Picks Box, which is offered between seasons.

As always, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel and you can watch it here:

So, if you watched my unboxing, you will have seen the huge size of the box, and how much was in it, but let's go over that again now! They have also changed their seasonal magazine to a digital version, which you access via a QR code included in your box. A great initiative to save paper!

I took advantage of the add ons this time and went for the All Goods Grasp Massage Bar (RRP $32, or £25.45). Relax your muscles using this handheld foam massager. It unwinds your muscles, relieving tension and pain. Deeply massage with your desired pressure. I have been looking for something like this for a while, as I have a foam roller but that just can't get to certain muscles well enough to have an impact. I love that you can control the pressure and depth of the massage and you can use it easily on yourself or a loved one.

Onto the box itself then! I will talk through the 4 items that I selected first of all, as these were the only ones in the box that I knew I was going to get- the rest were a total surprise!

My top pick for customisation 1 was actually sold out by the time I got to make my selections, so I had to go for my second choice, which was the Gaiam Foldable Travel Yoga Mat (RRP $44.99 or £35.78). Sometimes you want to be prepped for a quick stretch session or to keep practicing those yoga poses when you're on the go, but lugging around your mat is the last thing you want to do. This foldable and compactable mat can easily slide into your bag, backpack or carry on with ease so you never have to miss out on your Downward Dog! I absolutely adore the print on this too. I have a couple of trips lined up, one to Norway and one to Costa Rica and this will be perfect to take with me.

For customisation 2, I chose the Ouai Treatment Mask (RRP $38 or £30.22). A combination of Shea Butter, Panthenol, Keratin and Proteins, hair emerges shiny, frizz free, smoother and healthier. The signature Melrose Place scent adds a relaxing, luxe vibe, turning your shower into a dreamy, spa like experience. I love to take care of my hair and I have been wanting to try the Ouai hair masks for a long time, so I jumped at the chance! It does smell so soothing- which is exactly what I need right now- and my hair feels healthier already. I knew I would love this.

Customisation 3 was another one where my original choice had already gone, so I went for my backup option of the Popsugar Water Bottle (RRP $40 or £31.81). This water bottle helps motivate you and track your water intake throughout the day so you not only drink more but know your exact intake. I think we are all guilty of not drinking enough water throughout the day- and it's all I really drink to be fair. This really does help keep me on track, has cute motivational quotes and is robust enough to take out and about too.

My final customisation choice was Briogeo 3-in-1 (RRP $25 or £19.88). This 3 in 1 leave in spray detangles, conditions and protects hair from the drying and damaging effects of the suns UV rays, giving hair goal vibes powered by green goodness. Another brand I have been wanting to try for some time, this also smells beautiful and is great to give my hair a new lease of life after drying. I can definitely feel the benefits!

Finally, there were the 2 choices made for me by the team at FabFitFun- they did a great job again!

First up was the Lily Pulitzer ID Case (RRP $19.95 or £15.68). This ID case is the best way to keep your cards safe on your travels. The print is super cute and I love that it is compact, so can be slipped into the smallest of bags or pockets. I will be using this for my upcoming trips!

Lastly, the Rodial Dragons Blood Hyaluronic Skin Drink (RRP $52 or £41.35). From prepping and priming pre makeup to a little pick me up midday spritz when your skin is feeling a bit lacklustre, versatility is the name of the game with this delicious drink for the skin. I love items like this, that can be used for multiple purposes and can also be popped in your bag for use on the go. Rodial are a great brand too, I have loved all their products I have tried up to now and their Dragon's Blood range is iconic.

So a quick adding up of the RRP's brings this boxes value to $251.94 (£200.35), which is way more than the price paid!

I am impressed, once again, with the items, the service and the value of this box. It feels like such a treat and I love that you get to pick some of the items as it gives it a more personalised feel! I also love that there is such a mixture of items from beauty, to homeware, to clothing, to accessories and even fitness. I cannot wait for next season already- they have really upped their game and I am excited to see what comes next!
