The Natural Beauty Box August 2022-The Fresh Faced Edit.

Yes, it's that time again! Every time The Natural Beauty Box lands on my doorstep, it feels like Christmas! For those of you who are unfamiliar (where have you been?!), the Natural Beauty Box are a monthly subscription service featuring only natural, cruelty free products that are often also vegan and organic. I have been getting this box for 4 years now and in that time, I have not once been disappointed.

As is the standard now, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel, which you can catch here:

The theme for August was 'The Fresh Faced Collection' featuring 4 products to freshen up your face! I had seen a couple of spoilers and was very excited to get my hands on this box- as always!

First up was the item that made this box so heavy! Organic Works Cleansing Face Wash (RRP £15). I am familiar with this brand and am actually currently using one of their moisturisers. Cleanses away daily grime and makeup with ease and restores the skin's natural balance with Aloe Vera and Geranium Flower Oil. Suitable for all skin types and has been tested for sensitive skin too. This is very calming and hydrating, I absolutely love the smell and have used a shower gel before in the same fragrance- it is gorgeous! I love the huge size and the pump dispenser too. Definitely my new cleansing essential!

The next item is another brand I am familiar with, and have reviewed a few times on here too! Lavera Hydro Sensation Face Mist (RRP £9.95). A lovely, refreshing mist that locks in moisture to instantly refresh your skin and relieve dryness and tightness. Perfect for keeping skin fresh and hydrated in warm weather or after a gym session. It can also be used to set makeup to keep it looking fresh and radiant through out the day. I love a good face mist, especially one with so many uses, and Lavera continue to knock it out of the park with their products. This smells so fresh and reviving and leaves my skin cool and hydrated.

Third, and the item that gives the box a huge value this month, is the Gaia Skincare Face Moisturiser (RRP £50!). A beautifully light moisturiser that can be used day and night for all skin types. Rose Geranium and Frankincense essential oils repair and renew skin cells whilst toning your skin to leave it perfectly hydrated, radiant and protected. Not at all greasy and smells amazing too! I am very excited to use this as I absolutely loved the mask by them that came in this box a few months ago. Although, I am scared to fall in love with it too much as my bank balance would never forgive me ha ha.

Lastly, and something a little different, is the Something Cosmetics Jade Gua Sha Massager (RRP £19.95- I was unable to find the details for this, but you can see a similar item here.) A beautiful Jade stone which works to relax muscles, promote healthy blood circulation, reduces puffiness, helps to eliminate toxins and encourage the skin to make new collagen. It is very cooling on the skin- Jade is naturally cooler than our body temperature- and it is a must have beauty tool to help keep your skin looking and feeling fresh and radiant. I have been wanting one of these for ages. I have Jade Facial Rollers but not the Gua Sha massagers so I was very excited to see this and cannot wait for my next pamper. I think it will be great for massaging in my serums and oils too!

So another amazing mix of products to bring some radiance into your life this spring! The total value of the items this month is £94.90, almost 4x the cost of the box!

There are a few different ways you can purchase or subscribe to this box:

  • Monthly rolling subscription- £24.95

  • 3 month prepay- £71.10

  • 6 month prepay- £138.00

  • One off box- £25.95

  • Bimonthly- £24.95 every 2 months

  • Plastic free quarterly- £24.95 every quarter

They also do 'Lucky Dip' boxes on their website which contain 3 products from past boxes so you can get a taster for the service- this is priced at £12.95. For a limited time (at least, initially!), there are also Pick n Mix boxes available where you can choose either 3 items for £15 or 4 items for £20 from a selection menu. All of the above options include delivery.

I have said this so many times but I will say it again- this box is my absolute favourite and it never lets me down. It is not often that you can subscribe to a box for 4 years and not have a single 'dud' box or a repeat item but Emma, who is the woman behind this box, always manages to blow me away every month with new brand discoveries and some new products from old faithful brands I already know and love. I'm already excited for next months offering! Emma is also a lovely lady who puts so much heart and soul into every box- you can really feel the passion when you unbox it and it is testament to her passion that she absolutely smashes it every month! This box certainly deserves all the success and I cannot wait to see what delights await me in the September edit- hopefully some products to take us into a new season!
