The Natural Beauty Box August 2023- The Sol Edit.
Yes, it's that time again! Every time The Natural Beauty Box lands on my doorstep, it feels like Christmas! For those of you who are unfamiliar (where have you been?!), the Natural Beauty Box are a monthly subscription service featuring only natural, cruelty free products that are often also vegan and organic. I have been getting this box for 5 years now and in that time, I have not once been disappointed.
As is the standard now, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel, which you can catch here:
The theme for August was 'Sol'. I had not seen any spoilers this time so I was very excited to get my hands on this box- as always!
The first item was from a brand I am familiar with- and a big fan of! Nakin Skincare Anti Aging Purifying Face Toner (RRP £15). This is an award winning enhancing natural face toner that is kinds to even sensitive skin as it clears and purifies in a gentle way. With a powerful plant active blend of Seaweed, Hyaluronic Acid, Witch Hazel and Aloe. The multi action formula works without drying or irritation for a brighter, smoother complexion so skin is left clear, healthy and glowing.
I love Nakin skincare and face toners are a daily essential for me. This one sounds absolutely perfect for my skin type and will be next in line to be used once my current toner is used up.
Next up was another brand I am familiar with- Friendly Soap Company Ylang Ylang Natural Soap (RRP £2.45). Gold winner at the 2023 Free From Skincare Awards, this natural soap is uplifting and invigorating with the gorgeous tropical scent. It is moisturising and kind to sensitive skin.
I am no stranger to Friendly Soap- they are a friend of the blog after all! I have so many of their soaps already but one more can't hurt! I love that they don't leave your skin feeling tight and dry after use like a lot of bar soaps.
The next 2 items are from the same brand- which is a new one for me. Paul Yacomine Solarium UV Micromist (RRP £17). Ultra light hydrating mist with sunscreens. Add before and after swimming or whenever hair is dry. Naturally fresh fragrant oils of Bergamot, Lemon, Basil and Orange Peel. It provides a light, soft texture and a natural shine.
This is a brand I haven't heard of before so I am very excited to be introduced. Hair products are always something I am happy to receive in my boxes. This will be perfect for my upcoming trip to Costa Rica so I will be saving this for then.
The next item from Paul Yacomine is the Hydrosol Hair Hydrator (RRP £24). This is a leave in lightweight fusion of moisturising botanicals and oils for dry, brittle hair. Naturally fragrant floral waters and essential oils are super hydrating and conditioning to add softness and shine. Naturally fragrant essential oils of Geranium, Patchouli, Clove and Rose.
Another item I will be taking with me to Costa Rica to make sure that my hair stays in tip top condition despite the heat and humidity.
Finally, there were some extra treats included in the form of Vegums Multivitamins Strawberry Flavour 30 Day Supply (RRP £15.95) Made specifically for the vegan diet, and as with all of their gummies they've only used naturally-derived flavours and colours. It’s their flagship strawberry-flavoured multivitamin, and it’s packed with Vitamins B12, B6 & D3 plus Folic Acid, Selenium & Iodine – providing everything you need and nothing you don’t.
These will also be coming with me to Costa Rica as I have been advised to bring multivitamins with me!
So another amazing mix of products! The total value of the items this month is a staggering £74.20! Such an incredible saving!

I have said this so many times but I will say it again- this box is my absolute favourite and it never lets me down. It is not often that you can subscribe to a box for 5 years and not have a single 'dud' box or a repeat item but Emma, who is the woman behind this box, always manages to blow me away every month with new brand discoveries and some new products from old faithful brands I already know and love. I'm already excited for next months offering! Emma is also a lovely lady who puts so much heart and soul into every box- you can really feel the passion when you unbox it and it is testament to her passion that she absolutely smashes it every month! This box certainly deserves all the success and I cannot wait to see what delights await me in the September edit- hopefully some treats to prepare us for the changing season!
