The Natural Beauty Box December 2022 review- The Escape Edit.

Yes, it's that time again! Every time The Natural Beauty Box lands on my doorstep, it feels like Christmas! For those of you who are unfamiliar (where have you been?!), the Natural Beauty Box are a monthly subscription service featuring only natural, cruelty free products that are often also vegan and organic. I have been getting this box for 4 years now and in that time, I have not once been disappointed.

As is the standard now, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel, which you can catch here:

The theme for December was 'Escape'. I had seen a couple of spoilers and was very excited to get my hands on this box- as always!

The first item was a new brand discovery- which is always something to get excited about. The product in question is Lani Tropical Body Oil (RRP £18.99). The exotic scent of Ylang Ylang and tropical superfood oils deeply nourish and restore your skin to it's glowing, supple and smooth best. This oil banishes dry patches, supports elasticity, reduces signs of ageing, targets stretch marks and infuses skin with an intense and long lasting moisture boost.

This feels so lightweight on the skin and sinks in quickly, which means that you can get dressed without worrying about any oily residue getting on your clothes. It also smells amazing, transporting me to a tropical island- much needed in this dreary December weather!

Next up is an old favourite brand, and one I am always happy to see! Ezape Naturals Geranium and Patchouli Body Butter (RRP £9). This is 100% natural and 99% organic to heal, regenerate, soften and smooth skin. Made specifically for dry skin conditions, this is perfect during winter for that extra protection. The warming, calming and uplifting scent is a dream and makes your skin smell amazing.

I love every single one of their body butters and this one is no exception. It smells beautiful, leaves the skin soft and smooth and doesn't feel greasy either. I also love that it is a travel size, making it perfect for trips away.

Next, another brand I have tried before, but not for a while! Pura Cosmetics Coconut Lip Balm (RRP £4.99) offers heavenly hydration, silky smoothness and sensational softness. It helps to protect and heal your lips and has a tropical coconut scent.

I love a good lip balm, they are an absolute essential for me. Even though I am not a fan of the taste of coconut, I definitely love the smell and it always makes me think of holidays. This comes in super cute packaging, keeps my lips soft and smooth and the company are based right here in South Yorkshire too!

The fourth item is from a brand that have recently been featured- and that I have worked with on a video recently. Bomonde Mineral Makeup Vegan Mineral Mascara (RRP £16.50) helps you to achieve fuller, darker and longer lashes. It is 100% pure mineral based, so it won't irritate your eyes or make them water so you can create those intense smouldering eyes that pop.

Mascara is an everyday essential for me but I am yet to find that holy grail mascara from all the ones I have tried. I feel like so many mascaras promise so much but deliver so little. This mascara is jet black and definitely offers me the definition I look for. So far so good, I will see how this holds up when layering, and using it for all day wear!

Finally, and an extra treat for Christmas, was the Bomonde 3 Piece Vegan Eyeshadow Brush Set (RRP £15.95), providing you with the tools you need to create beautiful eyes with sustainable materials. Included in the set are: Large flat eyeshadow brush, small flat eyeshadow brush and a large fluffy eyeshadow brush.

These feels so soft as I am applying my eyeshadow. I do not profess to be an expert but I know that half of the battle is having the right tools and so I know that a good set of brushes can make all the difference in how your makeup looks. These brushes are great quality and I cannot wait to see what I can create with them. I also love that they come in a drawstring pouch to keep them protected!

So another amazing mix of products to help you escape from reality for a while! The total value of the items this month is £65! Such an incredible saving!

There are a few different ways you can purchase or subscribe to this box:

  • Monthly rolling subscription- £24.95

  • 3 month prepay- £71.10

  • 6 month prepay- £138.00

  • One off box- £25.95

  • Bimonthly- £24.95 every 2 months

  • Plastic free quarterly- £24.95 every quarter

They also do 'Lucky Dip' boxes on their website which contain 3 products from past boxes so you can get a taster for the service- this is priced at £12.95. For a limited time (at least, initially!), there are also Pick n Mix boxes available where you can choose either 3 items for £15 or 4 items for £20 from a selection menu. All of the above options include delivery.

I have said this so many times but I will say it again- this box is my absolute favourite and it never lets me down. It is not often that you can subscribe to a box for 4 years and not have a single 'dud' box or a repeat item but Emma, who is the woman behind this box, always manages to blow me away every month with new brand discoveries and some new products from old faithful brands I already know and love. I'm already excited for next months offering! Emma is also a lovely lady who puts so much heart and soul into every box- you can really feel the passion when you unbox it and it is testament to her passion that she absolutely smashes it every month! This box certainly deserves all the success and I cannot wait to see what delights await me in the January edit- hopefully some products to help us start the new year in the best way!
