The Natural Beauty Box January 2023- The Fresh Start Edit.
Yes, it's that time again! Every time The Natural Beauty Box lands on my doorstep, it feels like Christmas! For those of you who are unfamiliar (where have you been?!), the Natural Beauty Box are a monthly subscription service featuring only natural, cruelty free products that are often also vegan and organic. I have been getting this box for 4 years now and in that time, I have not once been disappointed.
As is the standard now, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel, which you can catch here:
The theme for January was 'Fresh Start'. I had seen a couple of spoilers and was very excited to get my hands on this box- as always! This edit is also plastic free.
The first item is from a brand I am no stranger to- The Salt Parlour Lime and Avocado Energise Scrub (RRP £17.95). Zesty lime oil gives your mind a boost and nourishing avocado oil is an excellent moisturiser. Organic sulphur promotes collagen production, increases circulation and decreases inflammation. Sea salts buff away dead skin cells and provide essential minerals for healthy skin.
This smells absolutely incredible! Definitely an energising scent to wake you up in the morning or give you a boost in the evening. I absolutely love The Salt Parlour's scrubs, they are hard to beat in my opinion. They leave your skin super soft without a greasy after feel, are gentle and don't irritate the skin as well as leaving your skin subtly scented. The size of this is huge too!
Next up is a new brand for me- Your Nature Natural Deodorant (RRP £8.45). There were a few different variants of this- either Lemon and May Chang, Sandalwood and Bergamot or Cedarwood and Grapefruit. I received the Sandalwood and Bergamot variant. Fresh and vibrant scented natural deodorants that leave the skin feeling soft and smooth. Kills odours without blocking the pores and gives long lasting protection.
It may not seem like the most exciting addition but deodorant is a daily essential and I am always happy to be introduced to a new natural brand! This smells lovely and I love the plastic free packaging. I haven't yet tried this as I currently have another natural deodorant on the go that I am finishing up, but this will be used next!
Next up was another brand I have become quite a fan of thanks to this box- Wildtree Skincare Nourishing Face Mask with Blueberry and Baobab (RRP £15). Superfood blueberry protects the skin from premature ageing, improves skin tone and elasticity for a brighter complexion whilst Baobab is a natural source of Vitamin C to boost collagen production, keeping skin plump and radiant.
Who doesn't love a face mask? It is an essential for me in a pamper session and Wildtree make some amazing ones! This is one I hadn't tried before and I was so excited to put it to the test. It is a powder consistency which makes a paste when mixed with water. My skin certainly looked brighter and more plump after use- I am 32 this month so the signs of ageing are becoming a concern- although I have managed to hold them off so far. I look forward to adding this mask to my weekly pamper routine.
Lastly, a brand I am all too familiar with, and who I love to see every time! Lavera 2 in 1 Body Cleansing Bar (RRP £8.25). With organic Aloe Vera and plant based keratin for a gentle foam experience and natural scent. This gently cleanses the skin and hair without drying it out. The hair, scalp and body will feel beautifully cleansed and invigorated with the beautiful, uplifting scent.
I have had mixed results with these solid bars in the past, however they certainly last longer than traditional liquid formulas! I am actually going to save this until my trip to Costa Rica in October, as I will be going to help with wildlife conservation and have been asked to, where possible, bring plastic free and environmentally friendly products- this will be perfect and a space saver too!
So another amazing mix of products to help you escape from reality for a while! The total value of the items this month is £50! Such an incredible saving!
There are a few different ways you can purchase or subscribe to this box:

They also do 'Lucky Dip' boxes on their website which contain 3 products from past boxes so you can get a taster for the service- this is priced at £12.95. For a limited time (at least, initially!), there are also Pick n Mix boxes available where you can choose either 3 items for £15 or 4 items for £20 from a selection menu. All of the above options include delivery.
I have said this so many times but I will say it again- this box is my absolute favourite and it never lets me down. It is not often that you can subscribe to a box for 4 years and not have a single 'dud' box or a repeat item but Emma, who is the woman behind this box, always manages to blow me away every month with new brand discoveries and some new products from old faithful brands I already know and love. I'm already excited for next months offering! Emma is also a lovely lady who puts so much heart and soul into every box- you can really feel the passion when you unbox it and it is testament to her passion that she absolutely smashes it every month! This box certainly deserves all the success and I cannot wait to see what delights await me in the February edit- hopefully some products to help me celebrate my birthday naturally and beautifully!
