The Natural Beauty Box July 2022 review: The Summer Ready Collection

Yes, it's that time again! Every time The Natural Beauty Box lands on my doorstep, it feels like Christmas! For those of you who are unfamiliar (where have you been?!), the Natural Beauty Box are a monthly subscription service featuring only natural, cruelty free products that are often also vegan and organic. I have been getting this box for 4 years now and in that time, I have not once been disappointed.

As is the standard now, I unboxed this on my YouTube channel, which you can catch here:

The theme for July was 'The Summer Ready Collection' featuring 5 products set to help you prep and prime for the summer months! I had seen a couple of spoilers and was very excited to get my hands on this box- as always! It is also worth noting that this edit is Plastic Free!

The first item will definitely come in handy- and it smells like summer in a pot! Pure Purpose Lemon Breeze Deodorant (RRP £9.50). This is an award winning deodorant made with nourishing plant oils and butters for hydration and starch and lemon essential oil to keep you dry and fresh. It has a light and creamy formula for easy application- a definite plus for me as I hate those deodorant balms with the greasy after feel! It inhibits the growth of bacteria, absorbs moisture and will keep you fresh and odour free all day!

This smells absolutely divine- think lemon sherbet sweets and you are about there! I was just coming to the end of my last deodorant so this one arrived in perfect time! I honestly love this- I have loved every product I have tried from Pure Purpose in the past and this is no exception. We have been having some warmer weather of late here in the UK and I also like to exercise- both of which can lead to sweat and odour- however I knew this deo would have my back. I wasn't wrong! Plus, have I mentioned the scent yet?! I also absolutely love their new brand packaging- so sleek!

Next up was The Little Soap Company Eco Warrior Exfoliating Bar (RRP £4.50). Multi award winning, this is a moisturising and exfoliating bar made with Citrus Essential Oils and blended with Oatmeal to relieve skin irritation and itching. A lovely all-over exfoliator, and fantastic for pre/post tan. Ideal for use in the bathroom eliminating the need for unnecessary plastics. Also great for gym bags and travelling… can go in your hand luggage with no leaks- so no need to worry about your stuff being ruined! As well as all of this, it is also totally free from detergents, SLS, sulphates, alcohol, parabens, sorbates, silicones & synthetic preservatives! So much goodness in one bar!

I haven't come across this company before, so it is lovely to be introduced in such a fantastic way! Normally with bar type products, I am always worried that they will have a drying effect or won't go as deep as the cream or gel based products. No such worry here though- this is absolutely gorgeous! A summery citrus scent- which pairs brilliantly with the deodorant above- my skin felt fresh, clean, soft and ready to face the day!

Up next, another brand I am familiar with- Ecovibe Body Loofah (RRP £3.99). This is an extra step to help you exfoliate the skin during summer and prep for a healthy and prolonged tan, as well as preventing peeling. It is made from sustainable loofah farmed in Sri Lanka. It feels quite rough when dry but when immersed in water, it becomes spongy and soft, perfect to use to massage damp skin to buff away dead skin cells ready for the next product!

I love the little handle on it too, it makes it so handy for storage. I was unsure about this at first due to the rough texture but I shouldn't have worried- I knew this box wouldn't see me wrong! It reminds me of those Konjac sponges where it becomes soft and spongy when wet and it was actually the perfect texture for my skin- I felt so pampered!

Now this next product I was SO excited for! No Secrets Beauty One Body Jelly (RRP £35). This is award winning- and I can see why! Luxurious and full of antioxidants, vitamins and restorative goodness, you massage it in to damp skin after exfoliating to stimulate circulation, relieve tension and restore elasticity for healthy and glowing skin. As with all of their products, all the ingredients are purely plant based and have been packed with some real skin heroes. It is rich in nutrients and vitamins, easily absorbed, highly nourishing and with super regenerative qualities. It also leaves your skin with a velvety touch and no residue. It also comes infused with their beautiful signature scent through a blend of essential oils - bergamot, juniper, petitgrain, eucalyptus and lavender.

This honestly would not look out of place in a spa! It is absolutely stunning, I honestly cannot think of enough adjectives to describe how amazing this product is! My skin absolutely adored this, and it felt incredible afterwards with a delicate scent too. I have tried a shower gel from their range before and loved that so I was expecting big things but this completely blew me away!

Finally, and an old, reliable favourite of mine! The Friendly Soap Company Lemongrass and Hemp Soap (RRP £2.45). Boost your mood with this sweet citrus scent of Lemongrass Essential Oil, which is known to have deodorising, antiseptic and antibacterial qualities, with Hemp to moisturise and balance the skin. Perfect for hand washing!

It is no secret that I love The Friendly Soap Company- I have so many of their soaps already but one more won't hurt! Their formula's and scents are divine and the price point is more than reasonable- especially for an everyday essential. I love that their soaps never feel drying either! This one smells beautiful- I am loving the citrus theme this month I have to say!

So another amazing mix of products to bring some radiance into your life this spring! The total value of the items this month is £55.44, over double the cost of the box!

There are a few different ways you can purchase or subscribe to this box:

  • Monthly rolling subscription- £24.95

  • 3 month prepay- £71.10

  • 6 month prepay- £138.00

  • One off box- £25.95

  • Bimonthly- £24.95 every 2 months

  • Plastic free quarterly- £24.95 every quarter

They also do 'Lucky Dip' boxes on their website which contain 3 products from past boxes so you can get a taster for the service- this is priced at £12.95. For a limited time (at least, initially!), there are also Pick n Mix boxes available where you can choose either 3 items for £15 or 4 items for £20 from a selection menu. All of the above options include delivery.

I have said this so many times but I will say it again- this box is my absolute favourite and it never lets me down. It is not often that you can subscribe to a box for 4 years and not have a single 'dud' box or a repeat item but Emma, who is the woman behind this box, always manages to blow me away every month with new brand discoveries and some new products from old faithful brands I already know and love. I'm already excited for next months offering! Emma is also a lovely lady who puts so much heart and soul into every box- you can really feel the passion when you unbox it and it is testament to her passion that she absolutely smashes it every month! This box certainly deserves all the success and I cannot wait to see what delights await me in the August edit!
